We seriously had our best conference performance since E.A.S.C. was restarted in 2014.

For perspective: in our first season, only 4 medals were awarded to Sea Demons (top 6 finishers for individual events and top 3 finishers for relays win medals). Last summer, 20 medals were awarded.

• This weekend, over 60 Medals were awarded to E.A.S.C. swimmers, including 5 first places!
• 93% of E.A.S.C. swimmers achieved lifetime best swims!
• Olivia S. and Brooke R. were both tied as top individual scorers of the whole meet!
• Many swimmers helped the team by trying new events or swimming in older age groups!

We are grateful to have such kind, respectful, and dedicated athletes who continue to push themselves and their teammates to be better every day. Every season we continue to improve, and we can't wait to see what Winter 2016-2017 has in store for the Eisenhower Area Swim Club! 

After a very fun meet against BBSC last week, the swimmers of the meet are: Madelyn, Gen, Zach, Josiah, and Melany. 

Madelyn swam her best ever 50 breast, dropping 9 seconds on her previous best time. She also dropped 3 seconds in the 50 free, earning her a second spot in Conference! Gen swam perhaps her best meet ever. She dropped time in both the 50 back and the 50 breast and came up from behind on her relay and out-touched her competition! Zach has been going to two practices a day for the last month, and it is showing in the pool. His technique has never looked better, especially in the relays.

Josiah, who joined the team this year as a 13 year old, has consistently been pushing himself in practice and it is showing in his performances. He dropped 5 seconds on his 100 breast and was an important part of both relays. Melany surprised us all in her first ever 50 fly, where she swam like a beast and secured her spot on the conference lineup! She also dropped 3 seconds on her 50 back. 

We are so proud of every one of the Sea Demons and the progress they have all made this season! We're ready for Conference!

Parking is in the lot on North Street.
The pool entrance is across from the lot.

All swimmers will be housed in the gym adjacent to the pool.
All swimmers will be bull-penned.

Everyone on deck (other than swimmer, timers and BBSC volunteers) MUST BE MEMBERS OF USA SWIMMING and display their 2016 USA credentials at all times.
Those without credentials are not allowed to be on deck.

Warm-up lanes will be posted at the meet.

Concessions will be located in the gym.
Weather permitting, the outdoor patio will be open.

Reminder of USA Swim Regulations :
*  NO CHANGING IN/OUT OF SWIMWEAR/CLOTHING
   ON DECK OR IN THE GYM.
*  NO CELL PHONES ARE TO BE IN USE WHILE IN THE LOCKER ROOMS.
*  ONLY SWIMMERS MAY USE THE RESTROOMS IN THE POOL AREA.
   SPECTATORS WILL USE THE HALLWAY RESTROOMS.
*  CAMERAS OR PHOTO CAPABLE DEVISES CAN NOT BE
   USED ON DECK BEHIND THE BLOCKS

Doors will open at 8:00 AM
Warm ups will start at 8:30 AM
Scratch meeting will take place at 9:00 AM
The meet will start at 10:00 AM

Reminder:  Each team is to provide 2 timers for
one lane for the duration of the meet.

Blue Island Fireworks Display
Fireworks will be at dusk on Sunday, July 3rd at the Eisenhower High School Stadium. Parking around the school will be available for $5, so walk if you can!

If you have signed up, or if you want to volunteer at the fireworks selling concessions, please arrive at 6:30pm. We will be in front of the stadium; look for us!

Blue Island Peoples' Parade
We are going to walk as a team in the Blue Island Peoples' Parade on the 4th of July. Please meet at Memorial Park at 10:30am on Monday. Wear a team shirt!
