Our hard work is really starting to show off in meets! Our meet against Tinley was fun, with many incredible races and time drops! Swimmers of the meet are: Jonathan, Ronald, Jenny, and Aylin.
Jonathan is a new swimmer to the team who joined after watching his big sister swim for many seasons. In our meet last Thursday, he dropped an unbelievable 23 seconds from his 50 backstroke! That event is starting to shape out to be one of his strengths! Ronald, on the other hand, is one of our most experienced swimmers; he trains with us in the summer to prepare for his high school season. He earned this title not because of any incredible time drops, but because of his outstanding consistency. He is a role model for the younger swimmers in both his attitude and his performance. Jenny recently returned from a medical leave and impressed everyone when she dropped 12 seconds on her 100 free. If this wasn't good enough, she followed up that race by dropping 11 seconds in her 100 backstroke, too! She also had a beautiful and fast butterfly in her medley relay. Way to go, Jenny! Aylin is a quiet leader in practice. She is a hard worker who asks good questions and never complains. In this meet, her work ethic paid off when she dropped 4 seconds in her freestyle and 7 seconds in her fly! Thank you to all swimmers and families for coming out on Thursday! We are so proud of every one of our athletes.
