For the first time in several seasons, the Red team was victorious at our annual Red and White meet! There were four stand-out role models with great attitudes that were swimmers of the meet: Maglio, Chuy, Jadyn, and Emily.
Maglio was incredibly helpful and independent. He was always ready for his races and helped out the new swimmers tremendously by guiding them to their lanes and helping them read the line-ups. Chuy showed outstanding levels of sportsmanship by always waiting in the water to shake hands with the final swimmer to finish their race. Jadyn requested and raced the 100 butterfly, one of the most challenging races, with a smile on her face. Emily, like always, was incredibly helpful. She was always asking coaches what she can do to help and helped many beginners find their lanes and understand how meets work. All four of these swimmers are returners, and all of them are excellent role models for the beginners. Thanks for a fun meet!
