Our meet last week against Oak Forest was a nice start to the season. It was a close meet, but we won with a score of 1621 to 1576.
Almost everybody dropped times from their swims at last week's Red and White meet, and there were many great swimmers to choose from as Swimmers of the Meet. However, these four stood out: Jaden, Kaelyn, Brando, and Briana. Jaden swam both fly and breast for the first time in a meet, which is a big accomplishment! He ended up placing 2nd in the 25 fly. Kaelyn dropped almost 5 seconds in both her 50 and 50 backstroke from last week. Her backstroke looked better than ever! Brando swam great in both of his relays: his freestyle is looking faster every day. Finally, Briana Martinez also stepped up big time by filling in places in the relays, always being prepared for her races, and really swimming hard! Everyone swam well, and we are very proud of all of the swimmers. We're excited to continue this momentum on Wednesday against the Mighty Krocs!
