Swimmers of the Meet - Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 - DJ, Madison, Maglio, and Paulina

Woah! What an awesome meet! Everyone that was able to come to the meet against the Mighty Krocs swam great races. So many swimmers have been perfecting their strokes and refining their technique, even when swimming that last few yards of their races. Although all the swimmers did great, the Swimmers of the Meet are: DJ, Madison, Maglio, and Paulina.

This is DJ’s first year swimming with the Sea Demons, and his hard work at practice really shows. This past week we worked to perfect our butterfly, and DJ was able to swim the 50 fly as one of his events for the first time! Madison is also a swimmer that is new to our team this year. She has been really working on her dives, turns, and starts which was apparent at the meet! She simply didn't just drop time in her events, but she also was able to finish all her races as strong as she started them.

Maglio has been swimming with the Sea Demons for many seasons and is a great asset to the team.  Maglio is a fantastic leader and shares his passion for swimming with our younger/new swimmers. While swimming against the Mighty Krocs, Maglio dropped significant time in his backstroke and showed great sportsmanship by staying in the pool while his teammates and competitors were still swimming. Paulina is also a returner, but has shown tremendous growth in her abilities this season. She dropped time in all her events and was leading cheers at each end of the pool, making sure to support all her teammates. 

We are so proud of our swimmers, and we are excited to continue this success as we move forward in the season.
